Cultural differences should not be reasons for
intolerance, hate, or coalition but should, instead, be an opportunity
for enrichment and understanding of how other people pursue life.
The Almobarak Cultural Center (ACC) was
established in Hot Springs, Arkansas, U.S.A. in 1989 in order to:
1.
Establish dialogue among all religious groups based not on
fanaticism or threats of terrorism, but on a desire to express
understand and appreciate their similarities and differences.
2.
Promote greater understanding between Christians and Muslims in
order to mitigate the hostilities that have characterized their
relationship over the past 1400 years.
3.
Promote greater understanding of the languages, people,
religions, and history of the Middle East region.
